Description

Mch 1923

Umbrella Rock on Lookout Mt.

Tenn- We motored from Miami

Fla. making various stopovers,-

to see friends, and visit

historical and scenic spots.

Mrs Carnahan motored with

us from her home in Rome, Ga.

and stayed at Hotel

in Chattanooga with us

while we were seeing things

of interest in and around

Chatanooga. Mother on

right with her map blowing

about her hand. I am next,

and at my side Mrs Carnahan,

Moccasin Bend shows a very

little below us.

Darling Chas. always liked to

get in perilous places, and in the

photo stands on top of the umbrella.

The cold wind was so penetrating

and strong it almost blew us

over the bank.

This is June 2-1930. Chas. gone

over 4 years and 3 mos. Mrs Cornahan

gone. We two frail ones left to fight on.
