Description
Reached Kilbourne City, on the
Dells of the Wisconsin Riv. quite
in good time Thursday P. M.
Aug 20. Chas. had attended the
wedding of Brother Otis and Grace
Schofield here in Aug. 1893-
five months or less before we
were married, Jan 4-1894.
We rode up and down the main
through fares, Chas. occassionaly
spying some spot he recalled
having seen 32 years previously.
Finally we found Schofield
place-for the most part
unchanged all these years
excepting a fine large house
has been erected within recent
years in the park-like yard-
tho the old Schofield cottages
still remain. We camped on
beyond the Schofield place in
the municipal camp. On the next
afternoon we drove several miles to
meet the Hatchards who came down
from Winnipeg to meet us.
Night of 21st all spent the night on
what,'til three years ago was Schofield Place
